Idol

What am I Looking at?

What am I Holding?

What am I Touching?

What am I Sensing?

God in Idol or Idol in God?

Idol living within God?

I cannot sense or know

Is it the God I am dressing?

Or a play of child am I doing?

Everything I offer is His

Everything I seek is mine

Nothing I offer for free

Nothing I beg for others

Am I interested in God?

Am I looking for a genie servant?

I know none wants divine per se

All look for an obedient servant

How much he gives does not matter

What he does not give is grievance

I hate him for his grace and love

His goodness is never cared for

His goodness never gets a thanks even

His grace is taken for granted and as a right

Idol for me is better, for I know no God

My God never responds or tells me

He never says I am wrong even if I am

I love him for he is a good listener

I adore him for he is man-made

I dress him for it is my choice
